University Press of the South is always looking for interns able, willing and eager to spending a minimum of 3 months up to 18 months learning the editorial process.  Americans, resident aliens, or foreign students duly allowed to stay in the USA by the Department of Homeland Security are welcomed to apply, regardless of their nationality, ethnic origins, gender, religion, race, sexual preference or age. Internships are unpaid.  Lodging is possible when available. Letters of recommendation are provided to our best interns at the end of their internship.

Requirement:

- At least one year of college fully completed (no exception).

- Good knowledge of English.  Letter of Application must be written in English.

- Knowledge of French and/or Spanish a plus. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese mandatory for an internship in Latin America.

- Dedication; team work; respect of diversity.

Most of our previous interns have found excellent jobs after their internship with University Press of the South in editorials; newspapers; museums; book retailers; marketing; etc... 

Previous American interns came from the states of: California; Louisiana; Michigan; Mississippi; New York; Oklahoma; Wisconsin; etc....

Previous foreign interns came from Argentina; Austria; Canada; China; the Dominican Republic; England; Lituania; France; Germany; France; Indonesia; Italy; Israel; Lituania; Paraguay; Poland; Russia; Scotland; and Spain.
