Dakin Matthews

DAKIN MATTHEWS (Dramaturge) is an Associate Artist and Shakespeare dramaturge of the Old Globe Theatre, a founding member of the Acting Company, former Artistic Director of California Actors Theatre, Berkeley Shakespeare Festival and the Antaeus Company, and an Emeritus Professor of English from California State at Hayward. His adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry IV at Lincoln Center received the 2004 Tony Award® for Best Revival, and also earned him a special 2004 Drama Desk Award and a Bayfield Award for Shakespearean acting.
