Dr. ROGER N. BUCKLEY is the author of, The Death and Life of an Irish Soldier, published by University Press of the South in 2007; and, Fort Gorges, Maine, published by University Press of the South in 2008, part of the Relph Coggins Mystery Series. 

Another forthcoming book by Dr. Roger N. Buckley, Gandhi for Ever, is to be published by University Press of the South in August 2008. It is also a Relph Coggins Mystery.

Dr. ROGER N. BUCKLEY received his Ph.D. in British Empire History from McGill University.  He is the founding Director of the Asian American Studies Institute at the University of Connecticut, where he is Professor of History.  He has received numerous research awards, among them the National Endowment for the Humanities, the John Carter Brown Library at Brown University, the William Osler Medical Library at McGill University, the American Council of Learned Societies, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the Research Foundation of the University of Connecticut. 

Dr. ROGER N. BUCKLEY 's research interests and works in progress include war and society, modern India, and Asian American History.  He is currently at work on a book that will examine the life and writings of human and civil rights activist, Yuri Kochiyama.
